A Tiny Yorkie Turned Blue and Froze in Surprise Beside the Paint Can
Blue paint is splashed across the wooden floor, and a tipped paint can lies in the middle of the mess. The Yorkshire Terrier sits close beside it, with blue droplets dotting her topknot, her ears, and her chest. Her dark eyes are wide, her whiskers are tilted forward, and her expression is of complete and total surprise. A box of tissues, a pair of sandals, and a hallway sit behind her.
Paint can be harmful to pets. Dogs may lick it off their fur, and some paints contain chemicals or solvents that can be toxic. If your dog has paint on her coat, do not use harsh cleaners or solvents, and call your vet right away to ask for advice. When painting, it is best to keep pets in a separate room until the work is done and dry, and to keep cans closed. Cleaning a small dog gently with warm water, under guidance, is far safer than scrubbing hard.
She looks like a tiny work of modern art, and she is not at all sure what has happened. The floor will need a good clean, and she will need a very careful bath. In the meantime, she holds still, and she hopes that stillness will help. Her bright eyes ask for kindness, and there is plenty of it on hand.
