A Rottweiler Looked Up Gently From a Floor Covered in Tissues
The black and tan Rottweiler lies on the carpet with his big paws stretched forward and his soulful amber eyes looking up. Beside him, a white tissue box has been torn open, and crumpled tissues spill across the carpet in soft, white drifts. In the background, a hallway, some shoes, and a plant sit in the warm light, and the whole picture is very quiet, aside from a few wisps of paper.
Rottweilers are strong, loyal, and often surprisingly goofy with their families, and they usually love to be near their people. Despite their tough reputation, many are sensitive and eager to please. A big dog can make a big mess in a short time, and soft items like tissues make a satisfying chew. Tissue is usually harmless in small amounts, but call your vet if your dog eats a lot. Plenty of exercise and a few sturdy toys help large breeds stay out of trouble.
He does not seem to be asking for forgiveness so much as for understanding, and his big, gentle face makes a good argument. The tissues are scattered like clouds on the carpet, and the box is beyond help. A simple apology of a scratch behind the ears will probably settle things, and he will accept it with great dignity. One heavy sigh rolls out of him, and the last few tissues flutter across the carpet.
