A Beagle Looked Away With a Noodle Still Hanging From His Mouth

AI imagebeaglespaghettikitchen floor

Look closely and you will see the spaghetti. A lemon and white Beagle named Biscuit has his head turned to the side with a few noodles dangling from his mouth, and his brown eyes glance off as if he were thinking about something else. The plate lies tilted on the floor beside him with a pile of pasta and red sauce, while a laundry basket and a pair of slippers watch from the background.

Beagles have extraordinary noses and a famous love of food. They were bred to track rabbits, and they can follow a scent for miles. That nose is perfect for finding the dinner plate that just hit the floor. Many Beagles are also very sociable and persistent, so they are happy to try again if the first attempt does not work.

Plain pasta is not harmful in small portions, but the sauce is another story. Tomato sauce often contains onions and garlic, which are dangerous for dogs. Greasy or salty foods can upset the stomach too. If your dog eats a large amount of pasta with sauce, call your vet. Beagles gain weight easily, so keep a close eye on treats and meals.

Biscuit keeps his gaze elsewhere, a master of the innocent look. A noodle swings a little as he pretends nothing is wrong, and it is hard not to smile.
