A Snow Bengal Looks Back From a Ripped-Open Tissue Box
The corner of the tissue box has been ripped away, a puff of white tissues has tumbled onto the carpet, and a snow Bengal is looking over her shoulder with a guilty tilt of the head. Her blue eyes are pale and bright, her cream coat is dappled with soft brown spots, and her striped tail curls around her paws.
Colorful building blocks lie on the carpet next to her, a sofa with a blanket sits in the background, and an electrical outlet and a door frame suggest a corner of a family room. The whole scene feels like a quiet moment after a small storm.
Snow Bengals have a glittering coat and, like all Bengals, a lot of energy. They are agile, curious, and love to play, so a box with soft, crinkly material sticking out is an easy target. Used tissues can carry germs, and swallowing them is not good for a cat, so toss them in a covered bin. A box on the floor is more tempting than one on a shelf. Offer lots of safe toys, plenty of play sessions, and puzzle feeders for brain exercise, and talk to your vet if she is chewing and swallowing paper.
For now the little Bengal looks like a kitten who got caught with a very small crime. The tissues are a pretty white mess, but nobody got hurt.
