A Ragdoll With Enormous Blue Eyes Guards a Chewed-Up Cap
Wide blue eyes, a pink nose, and a cloud of cream fur: the Ragdoll sits on a weathered porch, looking at you with all the innocence in the world. Beside her lies a tan baseball cap with the brim and crown chewed into a ragged lace of threads and holes. The cap looks as though it has lost a fight with a very determined set of teeth.
The porch behind her is dappled with soft light, with flower pots, a leafy shrub, and an old white house wall in the background. A coir mat lies near the steps, and the early evening light touches her fur.
Ragdolls are large, fluffy cats known for their gentle, relaxed nature and their love of company. Many follow their people from room to room and enjoy being held. Chewing is not common for every cat, but some like to chew fabric, especially if they are bored or want attention. Fabric can be dangerous if swallowed, since threads can cause an intestinal blockage, so keep hats, socks, and strings out of reach. Give her safe toys, such as a wand toy, and play with her daily. A long-haired cat also needs regular brushing to prevent tangles, and your vet can recommend a routine.
She seems sweet and calm about the whole thing. The hat has had a hard day, but she has had a lovely one.
