A Gray Exotic Shorthair Looks Up Beside His Torn Couch Cushion
Round yellow eyes look straight up, and the plush gray Exotic Shorthair has the look of a cat who has just been asked an important question. Beside him sits a couch cushion with its cover ripped to shreds and bits of stuffing scattered across the cushion and the wooden floor. His small gray nose is almost level with the shredded cover, as if he were examining his own work.
Behind him, the living room is full of life, with a plant, a gray blanket, a mug, a TV remote, slippers, and a laundry pile. Light from a window brings out the soft gray of his fur and the pale beige of the couch.
Exotic Shorthairs are a calm, affectionate breed with round faces and short, plush coats. They are often described as quiet and sweet, though even calm cats like to scratch and tear soft things when they are bored. Cushion stuffing is not safe to swallow, so keep your cat away from damaged furniture and call your vet if he eats any. Give him a scratching post near the couch, and a few toys to attack. Flat-faced cats also need their faces cleaned gently, since tears can collect, so ask your vet about a care routine.
He seems more curious than sorry, and he is definitely adorable. The couch will be repaired, but the cat will always be a star.
