A Boxer Sits Very Still While Feathers Drift Down Around Him
Feathers are still floating through the air when the camera finds the brindle Boxer. He sits in the middle of two torn white pillows, with soft white fluff caught on his fur and drifting around his head. His forehead is wrinkled, his big brown eyes look up with worry, and his black muzzle has a feather or two stuck to it. Behind him, clothes lie in a heap on the floor, a remote control sits near a flowerpot, and a window lets in the soft light. It looks like a small snow globe that has been shaken.
Boxers are playful, strong, and silly, and they stay puppy-like long into adulthood. This breed also loves a job, and when a Boxer is bored, a pillow can become an irresistible toy. Regular exercise, chew toys, and games like fetch or tug can help channel all that energy. Pillow stuffing and feathers can upset a dog's stomach if swallowed, so it is smart to clean them up carefully and ask your vet for advice if your dog ate a lot. Boxers also tend to bond closely to their families, so they usually do best with company rather than long hours alone.
The dog's worried face is a lovely contrast with the whimsical feathers drifting around him. He did not mean for it to look like a winter wonderland, and he seems to be waiting for someone to tell him it is okay. It probably will be, once the vacuum has had its turn.
