The Explorer Has Spotted Something Far Off Through His Telescope
Somewhere beyond the edge of the canvas, there is a coastline waiting to be mapped. The explorer is a spotted brown Bengal with golden eyes and a coat that looks like a living leopard print, and he holds a brass telescope against his chest as though it is the most reliable friend he has. He wears a navy velvet coat with gold leaf embroidery, a frilled cream cravat and a heavy brown cloak slung over his shoulder. A sword belt crosses his chest, and the light picks out every spot on his paw.
His gaze is alert and a little amused, with ears pricked forward. The dark background gives the portrait a stage-lit mood, as if he has stepped out of a storm to announce what he has found.
A Bengal really does have the explorer's spirit. These cats are known for being curious, athletic and smart, and they like to investigate everything, often with their paws. Many enjoy climbing, learning tricks, walking on a harness and playing fetch. Because they are so active, they need interactive play, tall cat trees and safe window views for entertainment. Always supervise harness time outdoors and check with your vet about vaccines and parasite prevention if your cat explores outside. Keeping a Bengal mentally busy is half the job of living with one.
The telescope may be brass, but the real treasure is that bold, bright-eyed look, ready for the next horizon.
