The Pug Lord Studied the Whole World and Had One Question
A thick fur collar rises around the neck of a very serious black Pug, and a navy velvet coat with gold frogging is buttoned across his chest. His eyes are huge and round, shining with curiosity, and his folded ears are as soft as black silk. Just behind his shoulder stands an antique globe on a wooden stand, its oceans faded and its continents glowing in tan and green. He looks like a lord who has just worked out how big the world really is and found it slightly overwhelming.
Pugs love company, and that devotion is their best-known trait. They are happiest when they are close to their people, whether on the sofa or at your feet. Because of their short noses, they can struggle in heat and humidity, so keep outdoor time brief on warm days and always provide cool water and shade. A fur collar may look grand, but an actual thick coat on a Pug would be a bad idea in summer. Maintaining a healthy weight is especially important for this breed, so measure meals and choose low-calorie treats, and ask your vet for guidance.
The lord is likely planning an expedition, perhaps to the farthest kitchen in the palace. Pugs are not famous for long voyages, yet this one gazes at the globe as though every ocean could be crossed with enough snacks.
