The Sphynx Astronomer Wrapped Up Warm to Watch the Stars
Stars and crescent moons are stitched onto the astronomer's deep blue cloak, and a brass orrery turns beside him. This pink Sphynx has large ears, a wrinkled brow, and pale green eyes looking off with curiosity. A white lace collar frames his neck, and the black waistcoat beneath is dotted with silver embroidery. Books and a small brass compass lie on the table in the shadow, while a candle glows at the far left. A tiny gold star near his collar matches the stars on the cloak, and his ears look ready to catch every sound in the night.
Sphynx cats are known for being warm, social, and active. Their lack of coat means they feel the cold quickly, so soft blankets and warm corners are a must, and they should wear a sweater in cool rooms if their vet agrees. Their skin can collect oil, so occasional gentle baths and regular ear cleaning are common routines. Sphynxes love attention and often follow their people around, so interactive play and cat trees help burn energy. Always protect them from sunburn near windows, since their pale skin is very sensitive.
The astronomer seems to be studying how the planets move around the sun. We suspect he is more interested in the warm sunbeam that moves across the floor each afternoon. That, too, is a fine kind of astronomy.
