The Russian Blue Explorer Raised His Telescope and Went Quiet
Silver-blue fur, green eyes and a perfectly sleek head: this Russian Blue explorer has the calm of a cat who has already seen the horizon and found it adequate. He holds a long brass telescope against his chest in one grey paw, and the coat he wears is a rich green with gold scrollwork on the collar, the shoulders and the chest. A little gold compass rose seems stitched near the collar. The dark patterned wall behind him makes his short plush coat look almost metallic. Captain Misty looks as though he is deciding whether the new lands deserve his attention.
Russian Blues are known for that dense, plush coat with silvery tips, vivid green eyes and a quiet, gentle character. They are often reserved with strangers but deeply loyal at home, and they tend to enjoy routine, so regular meals and play times suit them. Many love high perches, the ideal vantage point for an explorer. They do well with interactive toys, like a feather wand that mimics a bird in flight. A scratching post and a window seat go a long way for a curious indoor cat, and your vet can recommend a good diet.
The telescope is probably pointed at something small and interesting, like a bird beyond the glass. Even a legendary explorer starts with a good window.
