The Sphynx Empress Borrowed Every Bit of Fur in the Palace
Wrinkled pink skin, giant ears and amber eyes make this Sphynx empress unforgettable. A small gold crown with red jewels sits between her ears, a ring of pearls rests at her neck and a robe of red and gold embroidery is draped under a thick collar of white spotted fur. The soft green background is simple and dark, which makes her pale skin glow. The expression is a mix of regal calm and curiosity. Empress Peach has no coat of her own, so she is wearing everyone else's, which seems fair for a royal.
Sphynx cats are known for their lack of fur, though they usually have a faint peach-fuzz coat. They need more skin care than other cats, with occasional baths to remove oil, and they feel cold more easily, so warm blankets and sweaters can help. They also need sun protection, so keep them out of long stretches of strong sunlight. Many are outgoing, affectionate, and enjoy lots of attention and heat, like laps and sunny spots behind glass. They also tend to be energetic. A vet can recommend diet, skin care and ear cleaning suited to a hairless cat.
The robe is heavy, the crown is small and the empress is entirely at ease. Warm fur never looked so good on someone who didn't have to grow it.
