Someone's Favorite Knit Sweater Will Never Be the Same After This
Someone's favorite cream cable-knit sweater has been turned into a nest, and it now holds four black and tan Dachshund puppies. Two sit up near the top, one gazing straight ahead with soft brown eyes and the other drowsily resting its chin on the knit. Below them, a third pup peers out with a sweet, sleepy look, and the fourth has already given in, eyes half closed against a fold of wool. Their glossy black coats and tan eyebrow spots stand out beautifully against the creamy yarn, while a warm glow lights the cozy room behind them.
Dachshunds are famous burrowers. Bred to dig into tunnels after badgers, they still love to tuck themselves under blankets, into pillows, and inside anything soft and enclosed. Providing a burrow-style bed or a blanket they can crawl beneath can help them feel safe and secure. With burrowers, it's smart to double-check before you sit on a pile of blankets, since a small dog may be hiding inside. Also keep candles well out of reach and never leave them burning unattended around pets. Wagging tails and curious noses can knock them over easily, and an LED candle offers the same cozy glow with far less risk.
This sweater may never fit the same way again, and honestly, nobody's complaining. It has clearly found a far more important purpose as the warmest bed in the house.
