Four Little Faces in the Daisies Made the Whole Yard Go Quiet
Four tricolor puppies have claimed a patch of backyard grass, and the daisies seem to have been planted just for their portrait. Each little face is a mix of black, white, and warm tan, with tan eyebrow dots above dark, shiny eyes. Their long ears hang like velvet curtains, and one puppy in front sits with a serious, slightly puzzled expression while the others lean in behind him.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are known for a soft, people-loving nature. They were bred as companions, so they tend to be happiest when they are close to their family, whether that means a lap, a sofa, or a garden stroll. Puppies this age soak up everything, so gentle introductions to new sounds, surfaces, and friendly visitors go a long way. Short, cheerful sessions work better than long ones, since their attention spans are about as long as a daisy stem.
If you share a yard with a litter or a single pup, it is worth a quick walk around the lawn first. Some garden plants and fertilizers are not safe for dogs, and fresh grass treatments should dry fully before puppies play. Your vet can tell you which common plants to avoid in your area.
For now, the only job on the schedule is sitting still long enough for the flowers to catch up with the cuteness. The puppies are not doing a very good job of it, but nobody seems to mind.
