Three Fluffy Pups Lined Up on the Windowsill and Fell Asleep
Along the windowsill, three black and white Havanese puppies are stretched out in a row like fuzzy loaves, their chins resting on the wood and their silky ears flopped over the edge. The frosted glass behind them lets in a soft, even light. One puppy still has a sliver of an eye open, while the other two are completely gone, and a paw dangles over the sill.
Havanese are known as affectionate companions that like to be near their people, which makes a sunny windowsill an ideal spot: warm, comfortable, and with a view of everything. A window perch lets a small dog watch the neighborhood, though it is wise to be sure the window is secure and cannot be opened by a wriggly pup. Puppies on a high ledge can fall, so keep young ones at a safe height.
The breed's long coat is another feature worth knowing. Havanese puppies have soft, fluffy fur that will need regular brushing as they grow, to prevent tangles and mats. Getting a pup used to gentle brushing while it is young makes grooming a pleasant routine instead of a chore, and a groomer can advise on trims that suit the dog's lifestyle.
For now, there is nothing on the agenda. The three of them are lined up neatly, enjoying the warmth and the quiet, with their little ribcages rising and falling in time.
