This Wheelbarrow Is Carrying the Sweetest Load of the Day
A rusty old wheelbarrow has become a puppy cradle. Five cream-colored pups are tucked inside, piled on one another like a bundle of warm bread. A pair at the top look straight ahead with dark, alert eyes, one in the middle sleeps with his face buried, and two near the front rest their chins on the metal rim. A little straw peeks out from under them, and the lamplit room behind glows amber.
Wheelbarrows are common farm tools, and they make a charming place for puppies to pose, but a real working barrow can have rust and rough edges. If you ever use one for a pup's play, pad it well, check for sharp spots, and keep it on a flat surface so it can't roll or tip. A puppy should never be left alone in one. Straw bedding can be fine for short rests, but some puppies chew or eat it, so watch closely.
Golden Retrievers have a long history as friendly, helpful companions for hunters and farm families, and that willing nature shows up early. Puppies like these usually respond well to gentle handling and a calm routine, and they love to be part of whatever the family is doing.
No hay is being hauled today. The barrow's only load is five sleepy puppies, and it is the most precious cargo in the whole yard.
