Four Fawn Chihuahua Puppies Climbed Into Boots and Posed in a Row

Four fawn-colored Chihuahua puppies are lined up in a row, each sitting snugly inside a green rubber boot. Only their heads and tiny front paws are visible, and their large ears stand tall. Their wide eyes seem to look in four different directions, and one has a paw hooked over the rim as if ready to climb out. A woven mat, a white wall and a clothing rack in the hallway frame the cheerful row.

Chihuahuas are tiny, with adults usually weighing only a few pounds, and that means everyday objects like boots can become cozy hideaways. It also means they are easy to step on, so be mindful at doors and in busy rooms. Fawn is one of many coat colors for the breed, which come in cream, black and tan, chocolate and more. Whatever the color, the personality is large: Chihuahuas are known for being brave, loyal and sometimes a bit bossy, and they often bond closely with a favorite person.

A puppy in a boot is cute, but keep an eye on the boots themselves. Shoes can be chewed, and rubber pieces can be swallowed. Short, cheerful training sessions with tiny treats suit this breed well, since they are clever and quick to learn what earns a reward.

For now, the boots are a perfect fit and the row looks like a tiny, perfectly organized parade.
