Two Chocolate Chihuahua Puppies Found the Coziest Sweater in the House
Two chocolate-brown Chihuahua puppies are tucked inside a giant cream knit sweater that has been rolled into a nest. Their small faces peek out, one with ears perked up and the other looking thoughtfully to the side, and their silky coats are almost the same shade as their big eyes. Chunky stitches curve around them like walls, and slippers, a basket and a houseplant dot the floor outside. They look warm, safe and quite pleased with themselves.
Chihuahuas are very small, and they feel the cold quickly. Sweaters and snug blankets are not just cute, they can help a tiny dog stay comfortable in cool weather. If you put a sweater on your puppy, make sure it fits well, does not restrict movement, and has no loose threads that could snag. Never leave a puppy unattended in clothing. Chihuahuas often burrow into blankets and sleeve piles on their own, so be careful to check where they are before sitting or standing.
A warm, quiet bed in a draft-free room is the best choice for sleeping. Tiny dogs can be hurt by a fall from a lap or a couch, so keep a hand on a puppy and teach children to sit on the floor.
For now, the sweater is a nest, and it is hard to imagine a better one. The only thing missing is a sleepy yawn.
