The Samoyed Puppy Sat in the Flower Pot Like She Was Planted There
Planted where a geranium should be, a white puppy sits upright inside an oversized terracotta pot, her paws side by side on a bed of dry soil. Her ears tilt outward, her little nose is dark and shiny, and her gaze goes straight to the camera as if she is waiting for applause. Slippers, a gray blanket, and a stack of books give the room a soft, relaxed look.
If a puppy likes plants, the garden needs some thought. Dirt and fertilizer can upset her stomach, and many common houseplants are toxic to dogs. If you are not sure whether a plant is safe, check with your vet or a pet poison hotline before leaving it where she can reach it. Providing a digging box with a little sand or soil can give a digging-minded pup a safe outlet.
Samoyeds can be stubborn, clever, and sometimes a little mischievous, so early training with gentle, reward-based methods tends to work best. Keeping sessions short and playful suits a puppy's attention span. Socialization matters too: calm, positive meetings with new people, sounds, and places while she is young help her grow into a relaxed adult.
For this little sprout, though, the job is simple: sit in the pot, look adorable, and see if anyone mistakes her for a very fluffy flower. It is a very small garden, and she is the only flower in it.
