A Rottweiler Puppy Sat Perfectly Still Among Bright Red Tulips
Warm light glows around a black and tan puppy as she sits in a garden bed full of bright red tulips. Her head turns in profile, her ears hang forward, and her rust-colored cheeks and chest shine. A wooden fence, a green watering can, and a clay pot sit behind her, and the whole garden looks fresh with spring.
Tulips are pretty, but they are not safe for dogs. The bulbs in particular can cause drooling, vomiting, and stomach upset if chewed or eaten, and other spring bulbs like daffodils and crocuses are also harmful. If you have a puppy and a spring garden, fence off flower beds, plant bulbs where she cannot dig them up, and call your vet or a poison hotline right away if you think she ate any.
Rottweiler puppies are curious and love to be near their people, and that includes helping in the garden. Give her a safe spot, a chew toy, and plenty of supervision. Digging is natural for dogs, and a designated digging area with soft soil can help. Early training in "leave it" and "come" is especially valuable around garden plants and chemicals. A calm, consistent approach suits this loyal and thoughtful breed.
For now, she sits very still among the red blooms, and the evening light turns her coat to polished black.
