Three Corgi Puppies Found One Sock and Each Wants It

AI imagecorgitug of warsock

Three tricolor Corgi puppies have grabbed a single gray sock, and each one has a firm opinion about who owns it. The pup on the left clamps down from one side with a determined squint, the middle pup has its nose right on the cloth, and the third pulls from the other end with one tall ear standing straight. The rug beneath them is rough woven fiber, and behind them are a jumble of blankets, a table, and a few scattered toys.

Tugging is a normal and healthy form of puppy play, and it also helps them practice using their mouths. Corgis, with their herding background, are especially fond of grabbing and pulling. A few rules make the game safer. Use a rope or toy made for the job instead of clothing, let the puppy win sometimes so the game stays fun, and pause if the puppy gets too rough.

A sock may be the favorite prize, but it is not a safe one. Swallowed socks can get stuck in a dog's digestive system and need a vet to remove them, so it is smart to keep laundry out of reach and trade the sock for a toy whenever possible. Teaching a simple drop it cue early on makes these moments easier for everyone.

For the moment, though, the sock is a treasure beyond measure. Three small tails are likely wagging, and the family is probably about to find out how many socks the house really had.
