Two Corgi Puppies Sit Politely Beside a Full Bowl of Dinner
Two red and white Corgi puppies sit beside a big stoneware bowl of kibble, and they have clearly noticed it. The pup on the left looks up with a bright smile, tongue showing, while the one behind the bowl peers over the rim with a pink nose and a hopeful stare. A backpack, a pair of shoes, a laundry basket, a plant, and a couple of toys sit on the sunny wooden floor behind them.
Corgis are known for loving food, and they can gain weight easily if they eat too much, which is hard on their long backs and short legs. Measuring meals according to the label and your vet's advice, and keeping treats small, helps keep your puppy at a healthy weight. Young puppies often eat several small meals a day, and the right amount changes as they grow.
Feeding at set times and in the same quiet spot helps a puppy learn the routine. Keep fresh water nearby, and wash the bowl daily to keep it clean. If you have more than one puppy, use separate bowls once they are old enough so that everyone gets their fair share and you can tell whether each pup is eating well.
These two look as if they are working on their table manners. They are sitting politely, at least for the moment, and the bowl is full enough for both of them. A joyful dinner is about to begin.
