Frank and Dottie Popped a Big Bowl for Movie Night. Biscuit Inched Closer.

Movie night has officially begun, and the popcorn bowl is the most popular spot in the room. Frank and Dottie lean together on the couch in matching cream sweaters with red Nordic patterns, smiling as Dottie balances a big bowl of fluffy popcorn on her lap. Biscuit has wedged himself right up against them, stretching his nose toward the rim with a look of total determination, his big ears flattened back in concentration. A mug of tea, a folded pair of jeans, and reading glasses rest on the side table, and blankets and papers are piled around the cozy room.

Popcorn is one of the most tempting snacks for dogs, and plain, air-popped kernels without butter or salt are generally fine in tiny amounts. Movie-theater style popcorn is a different matter. Butter, oils, and heavy salt aren't good for dogs, and some flavorings contain onion or garlic powder, which can be harmful. Unpopped kernels can crack teeth or become a choking hazard. If you want to include your Corgi in movie night, set aside a few plain pieces before seasoning the rest, or offer a favorite chew instead. Keeping treats small also helps Corgis stay at a healthy weight.

Biscuit might not care much about the movie, but he is definitely invested in the snacks. Frank and Dottie seem to be enjoying his performance as much as the film.
