A Tiny Chihuahua Tour Guide Showed the New Baby Goat Around the Meadow
The wildflowers are blooming, and a pint-sized tour guide is showing the newest member of the yard around. A black and tan long-haired Chihuahua strides through the clover with ears up and a confident look, while a cream baby goat in a little harness trots close behind, head held high and curious about everything. Pink clover, white daisies and tiny yellow buttercups dot the grass, and a weathered wooden fence, potted plants and a blue watering can sit at the edge of the scene. A leash trails through the meadow between them like a ribbon.
Harness training a young goat is a practical idea for many small farms and backyard keepers. It makes moving them, checking them and taking them on short walks much easier. Start with short sessions, let the kid get used to the harness before attaching a lead, and use gentle guidance rather than pulling. Chihuahuas, for their part, are tiny dogs with large personalities. They are often loyal, alert and surprisingly brave, though that confidence can get them into trouble around bigger animals. Always supervise time together, and keep in mind that a growing goat will soon outweigh the dog several times over.
For today, though, the Chihuahua is clearly in charge, and the goat is more than happy to follow. A walk through the flowers with a good friend is hard to beat.
