A Boxer Curled Into a Comma on the Couch. Then a Goat Filled the Gap.

The couch has been fully surrendered to the nappers. A brindle Boxer with a striped coat lies curled in a big comma shape over a cream knit blanket, eyes heavy and nearly closed, and tucked right into the curve of the dog's body is a little white baby goat, fast asleep with its ears folded and its head resting on the Boxer's front paw. A lamp glows softly on a side table next to a mug, a pile of folded clothes sits on the back of the sofa and a potted plant stands on a shelf behind.

Boxers are known for their playful, bouncy personalities and their deep loyalty to family. They are energetic and clownish, especially when young, but many also love a good snuggle once the zoomies wear off. Boxers have short coats that are easy to groom but do not insulate well, so they often seek out warm blankets and laps. As a short-nosed breed, they can struggle in heat and should not be over-exercised in hot weather. Their enthusiasm sometimes includes jumping and pawing, so gentle manners training is helpful before introducing them to small or very young animals.

Right now, though, all that boundless Boxer energy has been traded for a perfect, peaceful snooze. The only movement on this couch is the slow rise and fall of two sleeping friends.
