Matching Curls Over the Garden Bed. Can You Tell Which One Is the Poodle?

AI imagepoodlelambgarden

At first glance it is hard to tell where the poodle ends and the lamb begins. A white Poodle with a wild, curly topknot and long fluffy ears is resting her chin on the wooden edge of a raised garden bed, and a white lamb with a nearly identical crown of curls is doing the exact same thing right beside her. Their noses are just inches apart, as if they are sharing a secret about whatever is sprouting in the soil below. Behind them, a weathered fence, terracotta pots, and more garden beds catch the low golden light.

Poodles are often thought of as fancy show dogs, but they were originally working water retrievers, and they remain athletic, very intelligent, and eager to learn. Their tight curly coat sheds very little, but it grows continuously and mats easily, so regular brushing and professional grooming every several weeks are part of life with a Poodle. If your dog enjoys the garden as much as this one does, it is worth checking which plants you grow. Some common garden plants and bulbs can be toxic to pets, and many fertilizers and slug baits are dangerous if eaten. Talk to your vet or a poison control resource if you are unsure about anything in your yard.

Whatever they spotted in that garden bed, these two curly-headed friends are clearly investigating it together. Twin hairdos, twin poses, and one very serious gardening inspection underway.
