Who Needs a Pony When You Have a Husky? This Baby Goat Figured It Out.
Who needs a pony when you have a Husky? A fuzzy tan baby goat sits proudly on the back of a black and white Siberian Husky, legs tucked and head held high as the dog trots across the sunny yard. The Husky's ice-blue eyes and relaxed, open-mouthed grin suggest it's perfectly happy with the arrangement. Its thick coat is crisp black on the back and snowy white on the legs and face. Behind them, a weathered wooden fence and the corner of a house frame the green, sun-dappled lawn.
Siberian Huskies are friendly, energetic, and famously sociable dogs, originally bred to pull sleds over long distances in harsh climates. They usually get along well with people and other dogs, but many Huskies have a strong prey drive, so introductions to small animals like goats, cats, or chickens should be gradual and closely supervised. Every dog is an individual, and some will never be safe around small livestock. Huskies also need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation, along with secure fencing, since they're known escape artists. Their double coat sheds heavily, especially in spring and fall, so regular brushing helps keep the fluff under control.
This goat has clearly found the best ride on the farm. Whether the Husky signed up for taxi duty or not, it looks like it's enjoying every step of the trip.
