An Old Rusty Wheelbarrow in the Shed Became a Seat for Two Unlikely Friends
In the corner of a cluttered shed, an old green wheelbarrow has become a seat for two. A white and tan Jack Russell Terrier sits with one ear perked and one folded, giving the camera a slightly wary look. Pressed right against its shoulder is a creamy white baby goat with tiny horns and big floppy ears, gazing out with a calm, contented expression. Straw lines the bottom of the wheelbarrow, and around them, rubber boots, a watering can, a tote bag, and garden gloves sit among the tools.
Jack Russell Terriers are bold, high-energy dogs bred for hunting foxes, and their curiosity and drive can be a lot for smaller animals. That said, with proper training and supervision, many learn to live peacefully with other species. If a Jack Russell is going to spend time around goats, it's important to teach solid obedience basics and to step in if play becomes too rough or the dog starts chasing. Barns and sheds also hold plenty of hazards for both animals, from sharp tools and nails to fertilizers, rodent bait, and engine fluids. Keeping these items stored securely makes shared spaces much safer for curious noses.
These two look like they're waiting for someone to give them a ride around the farm. Their expressions suggest they've already decided who's in charge, and it might not be the human.
