A Big Boxer and a Little Piglet Napped Together in the Hay
A large brindle Boxer lies on a bed of golden straw with her heavy head lowered and her eyes shut. Right against her chin lies a small pink piglet, snuggled in close with her ears folded and her snout resting in the hay. The Boxer's broad paw stretches out beside them, and in the background, a basket of clothes sits next to a white wall. It is a gentle picture of strength and softness side by side. A few pieces of straw have caught on the Boxer's brow, and the piglet's ear twitches in her sleep.
Boxers are strong, playful dogs, but they are also known for being affectionate and good with family members, including smaller ones. Their size means they should always be supervised around very small animals, since an excited bound can be too much. Boxers also have short noses, so they can overheat in warm weather, and a barn or shed should be well ventilated. Straw makes a warm bed, but keep it clean and dry, since damp straw can grow mold. Your vet can advise on bedding and safe introductions.
Penny is tucked right under the Boxer's chin, and she looks perfectly safe. The dog's big heart is plain to see. In the hay, it doesn't matter who is bigger. It is a calm barn indeed.
