A Pug Puppy and a Pony Squeezed Onto the Same Round Bed
The round dog bed is now very full. A fawn Pug puppy has curled up on the left, with his dark mask and big round eyes peering out, while a shaggy brown pony has folded herself onto the fluffy cushion beside him. Her mane flops down over her face, and her chin rests close to his head. A lamp, baskets, and a pair of shoes sit in the background of the cozy room.
We can call the pony Clover and the puppy Pretzel. Pretzel takes up very little room but gets the best spot, tucked in front of Clover's neck, and she does not seem to mind at all.
Pug puppies are charming, clownish dogs that love to be near their people and snore loudly. Their short noses mean they overheat easily, so keep them in cool places and avoid hard exercise in warm weather. Ponies are strong, sturdy animals that belong in a barn or pasture rather than a living room, but a small, friendly pony could be a surprise guest in a story like this one. In real life, ponies need proper shelter, fresh water, hay and regular hoof care, so make sure you consult a professional about any animal's housing, and talk to your vet about both pets.
For Pretzel and Clover, the bed is big enough as long as they stay together.
