A Boston Terrier Curled Up With a Pile of Kittens on the Couch
On a dark green couch, a brindle and white Boston Terrier has curled his body into a crescent and tucked his chin low. His big dark eyes are half open, watching the pile of kittens held in the curve of his body. A grey kitten and a black one are curled together, an orange one sprawls on the edge, a silver one leans on his chest, and a tiny orange face peeks from behind. A knit blanket and a mug are close by.
Boston Terriers are often described as gentle, friendly dogs that love to be part of a family. They have short coats, so they can get cold quickly, which may explain why this one is so happy to share body heat. Kittens, too, struggle to regulate their temperature when they are small, so they naturally pile up for warmth. Keep sofas safe for little ones, with no gaps where a kitten could get stuck, and keep an eye on them near edges. A vet can offer helpful advice on caring for young kittens.
The Boston's eyes droop, but he fights sleep, wanting to watch over every tiny face. A kitten flexes a paw, another sighs, and a little orange one pushes closer. Eventually the dog lets his head fall to the cushion. The couch is warm, the room is quiet, and they are all together. It is not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
