A Gray Scottish Fold Followed the Great Dane Down the Garden Path
The Great Dane leads the way, and his small gray shadow is not about to let him out of sight. A harlequin Great Dane, with his white coat splashed in black patches, walks away down the gravel path with his long legs and thin tail. A gray Scottish Fold follows several steps behind, her tiny folded ears pointed forward and her eyes on her friend. Flower pots, a watering can, and a wooden fence line the path.
Harlequin is the name for a Great Dane's white coat with black patches. These dogs are tall, graceful, and generally gentle with their families. Their size means they need space, but many are quite laid-back at home, and some are known to follow their people from room to room.
Cats can also follow their people, and sometimes their dog friends, around the yard. Scottish Folds are usually described as sweet, quiet, and fond of company. Because the gene behind their folded ears can be linked to joint problems, it's a good idea to talk to your vet about their care.
Whatever this pair is up to, it looks like a mission. The dog sets a steady pace, and the cat keeps up with quick little steps. A friend who walks with you, no matter how big the difference in stride, is a wonderful thing to have on a gravel path.
