Two Faces Appeared in the Barn Doorway, One Furry and One Fuzzy
From the shadows of an old barn, two faces peer out at the yard. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy with long chestnut ears and a white blaze rests his front paws on the weathered doorframe, and just behind him, a shaggy brown pony looks out with a gentle, curious eye. Green grass and a fence glow in the sun outside the doorway.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are gentle, affectionate little dogs with silky ears and a sweet expression. They are happiest when they are close to their people and tend to get along well with other animals. Puppies are playful but not too boisterous. The breed can be prone to some heart and other health conditions, so it is a good idea to talk to your vet and ask a breeder about health testing.
Barn doors are an exciting place for any animal. They offer a view of the yard while keeping a safe spot to retreat to. If a dog is allowed on a farm, it is smart to keep him away from tools, machinery, and chemicals, which are often stored in barns. A secure fence and a watchful person help keep the visit safe and fun.
The two seem to be taking in the day before they step out. The light is bright, the grass is inviting, and there is no rush. Whoever goes first, the other will be right behind.
