Somebody Beat the Laundry to the Warm Towels, and It Was Two Somebodies

AI imagelabrador retrievercalflaundry basket

The towels just came out of the dryer, and two friends beat the laundry to them. A chocolate Labrador sleeps heavily in a wicker basket with her wide head resting on the folded edge, and a brown-and-white calf has burrowed into the pile of cream-colored towels beside her, with her pink nose just visible. Somewhere behind them, more laundry waits on the machine, but the basket has been officially taken.

Labradors are one of the most popular dogs in the country for good reason. They tend to be friendly, patient and eager to please, and they love their people. They are also known for loving food, so watch their portions and exercise them every day to keep their weight healthy. Chocolate Labs are the same breed as yellow and black ones, just with a different coat color.

Warm laundry is a magnet for pets because they love heat and the smell of their people. It is fine to let a pet nap on clean towels, but check the basket before any load goes in the dryer, and never close the door on a nap in progress. Dryer sheets and detergents should also stay out of reach.

This basket has become a bed, and nobody seems ready to fold anything. Clover and her chocolate friend look like they have found the coziest place in the house.
