A Pug and a Lamb Found the Biggest Pile of Autumn Leaves
Orange and brown leaves are piled deep, and a black Pug and a white lamb have dived right in. The Pug sits with an alert, curious face, leaves stuck to his wrinkles, while the lamb lies nearby with a maple leaf resting on her wool. A toy truck, a watering can and a basket sit in the background by the back door. The pile crunches with every shift. It looks like the best seat in the yard, and the two friends have shown up at just the right moment of the season. The Pug sneezes once, scattering a few crumbs of leaf, and the lamb jumps a little.
Autumn leaf piles are a joy for many dogs, but it's wise to check what's inside before a dog dives in, since leaves can hide sharp sticks, damp mold, or even critters. Pugs are cheerful, playful dogs who love being the center of the fun, but they overheat easily and tire quickly, so keep play sessions short. Lambs enjoy exploring new textures and sounds, and a pile of leaves is full of both. After play, a quick check for burrs and a gentle brushing keeps coats comfortable, and a vet can advise if anything seems off. Pugs also like a warm indoor spot after chilly outings, since their short coats don't hold much heat.
Leaves keep drifting down from the trees, and the pile only grows.
