The Pug Became a Lamb's Pillow and Didn't Dare Move
The Pug lies completely upside down on a soft blanket, his four legs in the air and his wrinkled face looking straight at the camera with big round eyes. On top of his belly, a white lamb has curled up and gone to sleep with her head resting on her own legs. A wicker basket of laundry, a jacket and a few toys are scattered through the room behind them. The Pug doesn't dare move, but he doesn't seem to mind being a bed. His expression says it all: this is his job now. A tiny snore comes from somewhere, though it's hard to tell whose.
Pugs are known for goofy, loving personalities and for making themselves comfortable in odd positions. Rolling onto their backs is often a sign of trust and relaxation, though it can also be a request for belly rubs. Because of their short noses, Pugs may snore, snort and breathe noisily, which is usually normal, but heavy breathing or struggling is a reason to call your vet. Pugs also love food and gain weight easily, so careful portions help keep them healthy. A lamb's weight might be a lot for a small dog, so it's wise not to let it go on too long. Always make sure a pet has a way to get up and move away if it wants to.
Both of them are comfortable, and the Pug has decided that being a pillow is a fine career.
