A Serious Shih Tzu and a Lamb Pose Among the Sunflowers
Tall sunflowers nod behind two friends sitting side by side on the grass. A brindle Shih Tzu with scruffy fur sits upright and looks out with a thoughtful, slightly serious expression. A white lamb sits beside him, close enough that their shoulders touch, her pink-edged ears turned toward him. A wooden fence frames the garden and bright petals glow in the sun. The scene feels like a portrait the two have posed for, though the Shih Tzu clearly has other things on his mind. A bee circles one of the blooms, and neither of them pays it any attention.
Sunflowers are generally considered non-toxic to dogs, and the seeds are a snack for birds, but shells can be a choking risk and too many seeds can upset a stomach. It's best not to let pets munch on them. Shih Tzus tend to be cheerful, sociable dogs who enjoy quiet time as well as play. They love being near their people and usually get along well with other animals when introduced slowly. Their thick coat can trap heat, so a shady spot in summer is smart. Lambs love to graze, so a garden is a temptation. A shaded spot nearby helps both animals cool down when the day gets warm.
The sunflowers face the sun, and the two friends seem to be taking the hint.
