Wheelbarrows can be fun garden seats, though they tip easily, so supervise any rides. Wash and dry any pet that rides in a dirty tub.

There's a sense of calm in the way they sit, side by side, looking in the same direction. Perhaps they're waiting for the gardener, or perhaps they've simply decided this is the best seat in the yard. A dented wheelbarrow, it turns out, makes a wonderful carriage.

Soon enough, somebody will want the wheelbarrow back, but today it is theirs. The garden continues quietly around them.
