Two Faces Rose Above the Garden Bed, One Curly and One Tufted
Two curious faces rise over the wooden edge of a raised garden bed. On the left, a white Poodle with soft, curly fur looks straight ahead with dark, serious eyes, and on the right a red Maine Coon with big tufted ears stares just as intently. Behind them, a porch light glows over a doorway, and the soil in front of them is scattered with fallen leaves and young plants. A mossy, damp smell rises from the earth, and the sky is turning soft and gray.
If your pets spend time in the garden, it helps to know which plants are safe. Many common garden plants, including lilies, are toxic to cats, and some bulbs and mulches can upset a dog's stomach. If your pets get curious, a raised bed with a fence or barrier can keep them out. Maine Coons are big, friendly, dog-like cats, and Poodles are clever and eager to learn, so the two often make delightful partners in mischief. Supervising garden time keeps curious pets safe.
Their matching poses are the best part. Both have their chins just above the edge, ears forward, and eyes locked on something just out of view. Whiskers twitch on one side, and curls ruffle in the breeze on the other.
What they are looking at is anyone's guess. A bug, a bird, or a gardener with a snack would all do. For now, the friends are on watch together. One thing is certain: nobody is missing out.
