A Scottish Fold and Six Ducklings Watched the Rain From a Warm Window
Rain streaks the glass of a big window, and a silver tabby Scottish Fold sits beside it with her folded ears and round eyes turned toward the weather. Six fluffy yellow ducklings are huddled close against her on a knitted blanket, some looking out and some tucked in. Wet rooftops and trees blur in the gray light outside, and a soft sofa and a plant fill the room. We'll call the cat Drizzle. The ducklings peep to each other, and the cat blinks slowly as the drops roll down the glass.
Scottish Folds are known for their sweet, calm personalities and their unique ears. They love to be with their families and often enjoy watching the world from a window. Because the fold in their ears is linked to a gene that can affect joints, regular checkups with a vet are a good idea. A window seat with a soft blanket makes a perfect lookout on a gray day.
Rainy days are the perfect time for cozy indoor activities. If you raise ducklings, remember they need a warm, dry space, and that a damp environment can chill them quickly. Keep them in a brooder with a safe heat source, and keep any cats supervised or separate.
Drizzle and the ducklings are watching the rain together. Inside, it is warm and dry. The rain keeps falling, and nobody minds in the least.
