A Very Small Dinosaur Is Roaming the Neighborhood This Halloween
A very small dinosaur is roaming the neighborhood. A ruddy Abyssinian kitten stands on a concrete sidewalk wearing a green dinosaur costume, its hood decorated with soft spikes and cartoon eyes, and a row of plush scales running down its back. The kitten's enormous ears poke out from under the hood, and its golden-green eyes stare ahead with a wide, alert expression. Its warm, ticked coat glows in the late afternoon sun. Behind it, a pot of orange mums, a carved jack-o'-lantern, scattered leaves, and a beige house set the autumn mood.
Abyssinians are known for being active, curious, and adventurous, and kittens of this breed are often bundles of nonstop energy. That spirit makes play especially important, with wand toys, climbing trees, and puzzle feeders all helping to channel it. Sidewalks and streets, however, are not safe places for kittens, so outdoor time should always be supervised, on a harness, or within a secure enclosure. Costumes should be brief and comfortable, never covering the eyes or restricting movement, and kittens should be watched the entire time they are dressed up.
With those ears sticking out of the hood, this little dino looks part prehistoric reptile and part fox. Whatever species it is pretending to be, it is easily the most adorable little creature on the whole block this Halloween.
