A Pumpkin Pie Just Came Out of the Oven. Pip Has It Under Close Watch.
Wrapped up snug against the autumn chill, a grey Sphynx kitten sits on the table inside a chunky orange knit blanket, only its wrinkled head, big ears, and one tiny paw peeking out. Its pale eyes gaze sideways toward a freshly baked pumpkin pie with a golden crust and a small crack across its smooth filling. A mug of tea with the tag still hanging off the side sits nearby, along with cinnamon sticks, autumn leaves, a set of keys with a pumpkin keychain, a folded gray sweater, and a small floral pumpkin arrangement lit by a lamp.
Sphynx cats have little to no fur, which means they lose body heat quickly and really appreciate soft blankets, sweaters, and warm laps, especially in cooler months. Many owners keep extra blankets or heated pet beds around the house for them. Their skin also needs gentle care, including occasional baths to remove natural oils. As for the pie, sweet desserts are not suitable for cats. Pumpkin pie typically contains sugar, dairy, and spices like nutmeg, which can upset a cat's stomach. A cat-safe treat is a much better way to share the season.
Pip clearly has the right idea about fall: find something warm, wrap up tight, and admire the pie from a respectful distance. Honestly, that sounds like the perfect plan for anyone this time of year.
