The Pomeranian Puppy Made Friends With the New Snowman
An orange Pomeranian puppy sits in the snow with his fox-like face and open mouth looking like a smile. Next to him, a small snowman with a carrot nose, black buttons, twig arms and a red scarf stands guard. The snow is bright and thick, and behind them a house with a wreath on the door and bare winter bushes catch the evening light. The puppy and the snowman look like old friends.
Pomeranians have a thick double coat that keeps them warm, but they are small dogs and can still get cold. Keep winter outings short and watch for shivering. Snow can ball up in the fur around the paws, so check and wipe them afterward. Never let a dog eat large amounts of snow, especially if it might be dirty or have de-icing salt in it. Pomeranians love to be the center of attention and have lots of personality for their size. They need regular brushing to prevent matting, and their coats should not be shaved, so talk to your groomer or vet. A cozy bed, dry towel and warm room are the perfect end to a snowy photo session. Watch the clock, and bring your pup in before he gets chilled.
The snowman will melt in time, but the friendship in this picture is lasting. For now, the two of them hold their post.
