The Best Present Under the Tree Turned Out to Be a Siamese Kitten

AI imagesiamese kittengift boxchristmas

The bow is huge and red, the box is open and a small Siamese kitten with blue eyes is peering out of it. Her cream coat and dark mask, ears and paws make her look like she belongs in the gift. Brown paper shreds nestle around her, and behind the box a table is crowded with pine cones, string and holiday clutter, with a garland above.

Siamese cats are known for their blue eyes, pointed coloring and talkative personalities. They tend to be social, intelligent and very attached to their people, and a Siamese kitten may chatter at you the moment you come home. Like many cats, she loves boxes, and a gift box is a perfect hiding spot. Before letting her play, remove tape, staples and plastic, and keep the ribbon and bow out of reach. A Siamese kitten also needs plenty of play and attention, so a few interactive toys can keep her entertained.

Let's call her Mocha. She looks around from inside her box with great importance, as if she has just been unwrapped. There's probably a gift inside somewhere, but the best present, as everyone knows, is already sitting right there. Kittens have a way of making any gift better just by showing up in it, and this one has certainly managed to steal the show from everything else under the tree this year.
