A Cream Kitten Climbed Aboard the Sled and Waited Patiently
The sled is just the right size, and so is the kitten. A cream British Shorthair kitten sits in the small wooden sled, her round face turned toward the camera, her ears alert and her fur glowing in the golden evening light. Snow covers the yard and the sled's runners, and a house with a wreath on the door and a wooden fence sit quietly behind.
British Shorthair kittens grow into sturdy, plush-coated cats with round faces. They are typically calm and easygoing, and many don't mind a bit of attention, though they are not always keen on being carried. Kittens are small and cold quickly, so keep outings brief and supervised, and bring her inside to warm up. Wipe her paws and fur if they are wet, and check for road salt. A sled is an adorable prop, but a kitten should never be pulled or slid on her own. A quick photo and a warm blanket are enough.
Let's call her Butterscotch. She sits there with an expression of calm authority, as though she plans to take charge of this vehicle. Nobody is going to push her down the hill, but she looks happy to dream about it from her cozy seat. It is a charming winter picture, and a gentle reminder that kittens are happiest when they can watch the world from somewhere warm, safe and just a little bit adventurous.
