The Husky Puppy Sat Among the Presents Like a Tiny Statue
Sitting very upright with ears perked and pale blue-gray eyes staring off to one side, a black and white Siberian Husky puppy looks like a tiny statue among the presents. Kraft paper boxes tied with twine and sprigs of pine surround it, and behind it a tree glows with wooden ornaments, silver balls, and pinecones. A blue ball and a rope toy lie near the couch, hinting at the playtime that will come after this pose.
Huskies are known for being energetic, friendly, and talkative, and they were bred to pull sleds over long distances. A puppy this age already shows signs of that stamina, so plenty of exercise and mental games matter, especially on days when guests visit and routines shift. Huskies are also clever and can be escape artists, so secure fences and doors are important. Under a tree, keep an eye on the presents, because a puppy might think a wrapped box is a toy, and make sure no edible gifts are within reach.
We will call this good-looking pup Aspen. For the moment, she is the picture of patience, but we suspect it will not last long. A tiny wag, a quick pounce, and the paper will be flying. Until then, she is simply enjoying the lights and the company of a room that smells like pine.
