The Tree Star Needed Some Help, and the Puppy Was Raised to Reach It
Held up in a pair of hands beside the tree, a curly apricot Goldendoodle puppy stretches out its legs like it is about to fly. A gold star at the top of the tree sits right beside its head, and a red collar shows through the fluffy coat. The puppy's nose points up, as if sniffing the pine. Around them, a living room glows with soft light, with a couch and plant, a basket of gifts, and wooden toys on a cushion.
Goldendoodles are a mix of Golden Retriever and Poodle, and they are popular for their curly, soft coats and friendly nature. Their coats can mat easily, so regular brushing and grooming matter. They are usually smart, social, and eager to please, which makes training enjoyable. When lifting a puppy, support the chest and hindquarters, hold it close, and avoid dangling it from a height where a sudden squirm could lead to a drop. Keep lifts short and gentle, and let the puppy down when it starts to wriggle.
This little fluff, whom we will call Teddy, looks more curious than nervous. The star glitters and the tree glows, and the puppy seems to approve of both. Not every tree gets a topper that wags its tail, but this one is lucky. Dogs seem to enjoy being close to the center of the festivities, and a puppy held up beside a glittering tree is about as central as it gets.
