Santa Left Something Extra in the Stocking, and It Had Pointy Ears
Only a small black and white face is showing as a Boston Terrier puppy peeks out of an oversized red stocking with a cream-colored cuff. Its ears are pointed, its eyes are big and dark, and a white blaze runs between them. The stocking lies flat on a beige carpet, and behind it a gray couch and a cardboard box blur softly in the room. The puppy looks to one side as if someone just called its name.
Boston Terriers are friendly, lively dogs sometimes called the American Gentleman for their neat coat markings. They are smart and affectionate, and they tend to love people and play. Like other flat-faced breeds, they can overheat and have trouble breathing in warm weather, so keep exercise gentle and rooms cool. Puppies love snug spaces, but never leave a pup in any item it cannot climb out of, and make sure it can breathe freely. A cozy stocking for a quick picture is sweet, followed by a cuddle on the couch.
This little present, perhaps named Domino, seems perfectly happy tucked into the stocking. The stocking is far too large, which only adds to the charm. Santa would have a hard time finding a better stocking stuffer, and the smallest present may turn out to be the one everyone remembers. Her pointy ears and curious eyes say she is ready for whatever comes next.
