Buzz, buzz. Lying in a bed of crunchy orange and brown maple leaves is the fuzziest bumblebee in the neighborhood: a snow Bengal wearing a plush yellow and black striped costume, complete with little wings on her back and two bobbly antennae on top. Her pale coat with faint marbled markings peeks out from the sleeves, and her bright blue eyes look up with sweet curiosity. A small jack-o'-lantern sits among the leaves behind her, and a pot of rust-colored mums brightens the steps of a gray house.

Bengals are an energetic, athletic breed known for their wild-looking spotted or marbled coats and their big personalities. They tend to be curious, clever, and very active, often enjoying games of fetch, puzzle toys, and climbing as high as they can get. Many Bengals are also unusually fascinated by water, dipping their paws in bowls or joining their owners at the sink. Because they have so much energy, Bengals generally do best with plenty of daily play, tall cat trees, and interactive toys, and some can be trained to walk on a harness. A bored Bengal will usually find its own fun, not always the kind you would choose.

This sweet little bee seems content to rest in the leaves for now. After all, even the busiest bees need a break on a lovely autumn afternoon.
