A Siamese Kitten in a Santa Hat Heard Something Up the Chimney

AI imagesiamese kittensanta hatfireplace

With her chin lifted and her blue eyes turned upward, a seal point Siamese kitten poses on a chunky knit blanket as if she has just heard something at the top of the chimney. A little red Santa hat sits slightly crooked on her head, and her dark mask and ears stand out against her cream coat. A brick fireplace with a garland and a mug on the mantel waits behind her, with scattered holiday knickknacks on the floor.

Siamese cats are known for their loud, expressive voices and their intense devotion to their families. Many will follow their owners from room to room and 'talk' about everything, so a kitten who seems to be having a conversation with the ceiling is quite normal. They are intelligent and playful, and enjoy puzzle feeders, climbing perches and interactive toys. Their short coats offer little insulation, so a Siamese often seeks warmth near a fireplace or a sunny window. Always use a sturdy screen or keep the kitten out of the room when a fire is lit, and keep festive hats loose and brief, taking them off if she shakes or hides.

Tonight the hat is a bit big and the whole room smells of pine, but she wears the outfit with confidence. Whatever she is looking at above the mantel, she will probably tell everybody about it in great detail.
